Crate Hackers Cleans Your Library. It Does Not Plan the Wedding.

Crate Hackers runs $30 a month (after a discounted first month) or $297 a year (after a discounted first year). WeddingPlan Founder Access starts at $49 a month, and covers far more ground.

That is not really the comparison, though. The two tools barely overlap.

What Crate Hackers Actually Does

Crate Hackers is a music library organization tool. It scans your library, kills duplicates, and turns Spotify playlists and pasted setlists into performance-ready crates that export to Serato, rekordbox, Virtual DJ, Traktor, and streaming platforms. For DJs drowning in a messy library, that is a real, well-scoped problem solved well.

It is not a wedding planning tool. It has no concept of a couple, a ceremony timeline, a vendor contact, or a coordinator handoff. It organizes the music you already have. It does not collect what a couple wants for their day.

What TRUE Wedding Planning Requires

Before you can play a single organized crate, you need the couple's actual wedding: vendor contacts, ceremony timing, processional order, special moment notes, timeline conflict checks, and a PDF your coordinator can use the morning of the wedding. Crate Hackers is not built to collect any of that, and it is not trying to be.

WeddingPlan is. Couples get a private link, no login, no app download, and fill in:

  • Songs: live Spotify and Apple Music search, link auto-import, Smart Paste bulk import, Must-Play and Do-Not-Play and DJ's Choice tags, per-song notes, drag-and-drop reorder
  • Ceremony and reception timeline: couples enter their own timing, the portal flags conflicts automatically
  • Vendor contacts: structured fields for florist, caterer, officiant, venue, photographer, and every other vendor on the event
  • Ceremony and reception details: 15 answer types covering everything from free text to PDF upload
  • Guest list: manual entry or CSV import from The Knot, Zola, and Joy
  • Seating chart, budget tracker, planning checklist (13 months out through the wedding day)
  • Recommendation crate: your curated song suggestions with Apple Music previews, visible to couples while they plan
  • Role PDF exports: DJ sheet, coordinator timeline, vendor contact list, full event timeline

You walk into the final meeting with the whole wedding already collected, not just a song list.

Where Crate Hackers and WeddingPlan Actually Meet: Library Management

This is the one place the two tools do overlap, and it is worth being direct about it. Crate Hackers is a dedicated, mature library-cleanup tool. If your library itself is the problem, duplicates everywhere, no organization, nothing tagged, it is built for exactly that.

WeddingPlan Sync approaches the same problem from the couple side in:

  • Scans your entire library and identifies tracks by content, not file path
  • Watches your music folder and re-scans automatically when files arrive
  • Auto-organizes new music on arrival: "Title - Artist - Version" naming, per-artist folder, version detected from actual tags
  • Matches every couple pick to a real track in your library, refreshing every 30 seconds, with a "Check for new songs" button for late requests
  • Exports the matched playlist as a standard M3U file and a full songs CSV, any DJ software can load it directly

The difference is what triggers the match. Crate Hackers organizes your existing crates. WeddingPlan Sync matches your library against what the couple actually picked, inside the same portal that collected their picks in the first place.

Who Should Actually Pick Which

If your real problem is a messy, disorganized library across years of gigs, Crate Hackers solves that directly and it is good at it. It is not a wedding planning replacement and was never built to be one.

If your real problem is chasing couples across texts, forms, and shared docs to get a complete picture of their wedding, and then matching whatever they send you to your library, WeddingPlan is built for that specific chain, start to finish.

Some DJs may reasonably want both. They solve different problems.

The Couple Experience

Couples who plan through WeddingPlan come to the final meeting with their songs selected, their timeline built, and their vendor contacts filled in. Here is what couples say about planning through Womack Services, the wedding company that built WeddingPlan:

"They have an app that we use to give our ideas."Kerissa L., Zola review, June 2025
"Having everything run through one team made the entire day feel smooth and easy."Kristiane, Zola review, April 2026
